We’re proud to share a special moment for our firm and co-founder, Miguel Custodio.
At the UCLA Latine Law Student Association Annual Alumni Gala, Miguel was honored for his professional achievements and his continued commitment to supporting the next generation of legal professionals.
It was a full circle moment, one that reflects where he started and what he has now accomplished.
Miguel’s connection to UCLA runs deep.
From his time as an undergraduate to law school, UCLA played a formative role in shaping his path. Programs like the UCLA Law Fellows helped provide early exposure to the legal profession and made a career in law feel possible.
Returning now to be recognized by a community dedicated to uplifting Latine law students made the moment especially significant.
As Miguel shared during the evening, these programs matter, they create access, build confidence, and help students see themselves in spaces that may have once felt out of reach.
Speaking to a room filled with students and alumni, Miguel reflected honestly on his journey.
He didn’t present a smooth journey, because it wasn’t.
Instead, he spoke about:
Staying disciplined
Continuing to learn
Taking opportunities as they came
And committing to never being outworked
One message stood out:
Respect the profession. Respect the process. But don’t be intimidated.
A key part of Miguel’s journey has been the relationships he built along the way, including his partnership with Vineet Dubey.
What started as a friendship in law school grew into a trusted professional partnership and the foundation of the firm they’ve built together.
It’s a reminder that success in this profession isn’t just about individual effort, it’s also about the connections you make and relationships you build.
Moments like this are a reminder that a legal career is about more than individual success.
It’s about impact.
It’s about community.
And it’s about creating opportunities for those who come next.
We’re honored to celebrate Miguel and this well-deserved recognition.
LLSA is dedicated to supporting and helping its students graduate. The organization emphasizes preparing members to serve communities that lack legal resources with a strong focus on the Latine population. It offers academic assistance and works to create a welcoming environment to its members.
