We are proud to announce that CD Law firm co-founders Miguel Custodio and Vineet Dubey have been selected for the 2026 issue of the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys.
This recognition highlights the contributions of minority attorneys and their role as trusted advisors in the Los Angeles region. It reflects Miguel and Vineet’s dedication and hard work in building a law firm since 2012 that is known for its excellent legal services and a commitment to representing clients who might otherwise be overlooked, marginalized, or intimidated by the legal system, ensuring they receive the justice they deserve.
The core of Miguel and Vineet’s practice comes from their backgrounds as sons of immigrants. Miguel’s parents are from Guatemala, and Vineet’s are from India. Growing up, both witnessed structural inequalities firsthand, which continue to drive their mission to help individuals seek justice against corporations and institutions.
Miguel has honed his expertise in personal injury and wrongful death cases, working closely with hundreds of accident victims and their families. His client-centered approach prioritizes the person over the accident, treating clients as family and supporting them throughout the legal process. To date, Miguel has secured nearly $100 million in settlements, bringing justice to countless clients. In addition to his legal practice, Miguel is a recognized legal analyst for major news outlets, including Univision, Telemundo, Vision Latina, and more.
Beyond his private practice, Miguel is committed to public service. He has handled numerous pro bono cases, including representing domestic violence survivors through the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law and clients of the nonprofit Angel De La Comunidad.
Vineet has dedicated his career to environmental litigation, focusing on cases against companies that distribute products containing toxic and cancer-causing chemicals, such as PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), also known as forever chemicals. His work has led to the removal or reformulation of thousands of harmful products. Notable cases include lawsuits against Nurture Inc. and Gerber Products Co. for elevated levels of lead and arsenic in their baby foods, and Kroger stores and Trader Joe’s for high levels of lead in various food products. Through these efforts, Vineet has made a significant impact in protecting public health and holding corporations accountable. He has settled more Proposition 65 matters than any other attorney in the country for each of the last three years.
