Mother Flees After LAX Crash Injures 4 Kids, LAPD Investigating

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a serious car accident near Los Angeles International Airport sent four children to the hospital, including one child suffering severe injuries. Now, the Los Angeles Police Department is searching for the children’s mother, who allegedly fled the scene.

According to LAPD reports, the crash happened around 2 a.m. near the 9600 block of Sepulveda Boulevard in Los Angeles. At the time of the accident, there were six people inside the vehicle—four children and two adults.

Police say the driver, who is believed to be the mother of the children, crashed into the center barrier. Shockingly, instead of staying at the scene, she fled on foot with the kids and made her way to a second location at 1400 E. 59th Place.

Emergency responders were called to the second site, where all four children were transported to the hospital. Tragically, one child sustained serious injuries requiring advanced medical care. One of the adults also suffered injuries and was hospitalized.

Currently, LAPD officers are actively searching for the mother, and the cause of this devastating crash is still under investigation.
